I got an opportunity to get tickets for a RedSox/Yankees game at Fenway Park. I was able to get tickets for the April 7th game. Lackey v. Petite. This is one of those “bucket lists” items that I could not let go by, so we got airline tickets and hotel room for a mid-week trip to Boston. Frances and I went and had a great time. We arrived on April 6th and our friend Doreen picked us up at the airport. We spent some time with her before heading for dinner to Legal Seafoods. After dinner we went to the bar at theĀ MarriottĀ hotel at the Prudential Center, where they have a giant screen to watch that nights game as well as many HD screens over the bar (see pics below).
On the day of the game, we met with Steven and Elaine Mooreman for lunch at the North End. Enjoyed some great Italian food and the company was great. Then as members of RedSox Nations, we were able to get into Fenway at 4PM to watch batting practice from the Monster seats. What a great view! From the monster seat we moved over to the center field seating area and watched some of the players catch fly balls from there. We then grab some grub for dinner at the park and enjoyed the game, which we lost in extra innings, but I did not mind so much, since it was only the 3rd game of the season. Did I mentioned that it was 85 degrees that day! in Boston! Weird…..
